He began his career as a lawyer at a medium-sized law firm, focusing on corporate law and commercial contracts. He then worked as a senior IT and privacy lawyer at a leading international internet service provider and an international insurance company (NN Group NV).
In 2020, Jeroen founded Lawrence, a boutique advisory firm specializing in data protection and privacy law in M&A transactions. After a stint as partner (2023-2026), Jeroen continued his practice under Lawrence, with a sharp focus on Data (Protection), AI & Tech.
Expertise
Over the years, his practice has evolved from an exclusive focus on privacy due diligence to a broader spectrum of European data and technology legislation. Frederick (1983) has over seventeen years of experience as a lawyer at the intersection of privacy law, data protection, technology law, and AI regulation. He is known for an approach that combines legal precision with a keen sense of how products and companies actually function; a combination he built through a career in both top-tier law firms and leading technology companies.
Education and Work Experience
Frederick studied IT Law at the University of Groningen (master's in 2008). At Taylor Wessing (now: Winston Taylor) in Eindhoven and Amsterdam, he laid the foundation for the tech & data practice, becoming a familiar face within privacy and technology law.
In 2020, he transitioned to the corporate world as an in-house lawyer at leading technology companies. For instance, as Associate General Counsel Data Protection at Meta, he worked on complex privacy issues surrounding Instagram, focusing, among other things, on the online protection of young users. After founding his tech boutique Feyr Law in 2025, he continued this practice in July 2026 as a partner at Lawrence.

Frederick believes that privacy and technology law do not have to slow down innovation. Too often, this happens due to risk aversion, legal over-engineering, or theoretical advice. His approach is different: clear, pragmatic, and focused on progress.

During her studies, she participated in an exchange program at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, focusing on international and comparative law, human rights, criminal law, and constitutional jurisprudence. In addition to his studies, Arvin was a teaching assistant and student assistant at the Erasmus School of Economics and a board member (Commissioner of Internal Affairs) at the study association In Duplo. In these roles, he developed a problem-solving, hands-on work attitude.
